At Sophie's 80th birthday party in December 2008, 10 of her 11 grandchildren attended, along with spouses, a grandnephew and some great-grandchildren.

The Harbuziuks were blessed with 11 grandchildren. By order of birth, they are Christine (1975), Natalie (1977), Valerie (1979), Caroline (1979), David (1980), Shauna (1981), Daniel (1981), Lara (1984), Lianne (1987), Erik (1992) and Olivia (1993).
