      Olexa Harbuziuk was involved with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches (GARBC) and with the American Council of Christian Churches (ACCC), as well as with individual churches.


   * Rev. Harbuziuk spoke at the 26th conference of the American Council of Christian Churches on Oct. 26, 1967 in Santa Monica, California. He was elected to the board.
  *  He also spoke at the 27th conference of the ACCC, which was held October 21-25, 1968 in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.
      * At the 30th conference of the American Council of Christian Churches held October 25-28, 1971 in St. Louis, Rev. Harbuziuk was elected to the executive committee.
     * Rev. Harbuziuk was a panelist on a television program about religious persecution and human rights violations in the Soviet Union that was broadcast from New York on the NBC-TV network on July 3, 1977. Also a panelist was Dr. George Hess. The moderator was the Rev. Dr. B. Robert Biscoe (1925-2014), who was the executive secretary of the American Council of Christian Churches.                                                *  In October 1979, Olexa received the "Contender's Award" from the American Council of Christian Churches during its annual conference in Syracuse, New York. The plaque was inscribed: "Contender's Award 1979 presented to Rev. Olexa R. Harbuziuk for his faithful and tireless effort in his ministry to people behind the Iron Curtain." Rev. Vins spoke and also received a "Contender's Award."
   *  In October 1980, he spoke about religious persecution in Ukraine to the 39th annual conference of the American Council of Christian Churches, held at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa (near Des Moines). Olexa was elected to the executive committee and also was appointed to a special committee created to defend imprisoned believers in the Soviet Union.
     * Pastor Harbuziuk spoke October 5, 1987 about the persecuted church in Eastern Europe at the annual fall conference of the Illinois/Missouri Association of Regular Baptist Churches, which was held at Belden Regular Baptist Church in Niles, Illinois.
      * He was interviewed on a television program on Sept. 20, 1989 by the pastor of a church in Bowling Green, Kentucky. 
     * Olexa spoke to the Kiwanis Club of Northlake (Illinois) on March 31, 1969, and received a certificate of appreciation.
